María del Rio is a female, Latinx photographer living in Oakland, California. Born in Mexico and raised in Santa Fe, New Mexico, she is heavily influenced by both the Mexican and Southwestern cultures. Her imagery is a container for the complexity of identity—specifically where cultural history meets the modern. She strives to be a part of a reimagined creative narrative of diverse stories and storytellers.
